Nigel Richards Driving School started in 1995 with a simple mission: to teach people to drive for life, not just for a test pass. What began as a solo operation has grown into a trusted local institution, with multiple instructors, hundreds of satisfied students, and a reputation for patient, professional tuition that spans three decades.

We've seen the roads change, the cars evolve, and the test evolve with it. But what hasn't changed is our commitment to safety, clarity, and building genuine confidence behind the wheel. We believe learning to drive should be structured, stress-free, and tailored to you.

Why we exist: We believe that nervous learners deserve patience. That first-time drivers deserve clear, practical instruction. And that everyone, regardless of their background, deserves to become a safe, confident, independent driver. No judgment. No shortcuts. Just solid teaching.

Our instructors are all DVSA-approved ADIs with years of real-world experience. They've been trained in our method: calm, methodical, thorough. They meet you where you are — whether you're brand new to driving or picking up after years away — and take you as far as you want to go.
